I am just trying out Amateur Invest, but it will be of no use to me unless I can import from text files. So far I have had no luck. Could someone please post a sample of an exact text file for import with one or two securities, real or imaginary, so I could find my mistakes?Thanks.David. |

Hi, Thank you for your interest in Amateur Invest. - Please specify which buttons you are pushing - from the main window and forward, so that I can see if it is importing of more security definitions or importing of prizes we are talking about. http://www.amateur-invest.com Personal finance, Money, Banking and portfolio management |

I will want to do both - and also to import old transactions from a file, if there's a way to do it - but first I want to import securities. Once I get to the main screen, I press Imp-/Export near the upper left. When the dialog box comes up, I check "File" and then click "Import". Thanks. David. |

There is an error in the current version when importing prices from a file. I'll have it fixed for the next update. It will take a little while, since there are other small improvements that I'll like to see included in the update as well. - If you wish, and can't wait, I can make a small hotfix for you.
