I am a student under Joseph Hara Ph.D. at The University of Toledo. In the past year the Japanese program has become the second largest foreign language program at the university. due to the increasing rate of Japanese students we are trying to expand the department and we have received permission to establish a major program for the Japanese Department, but because of the current economic status the project is moving very slowly. Together we have devised ways to raise the necessary funds but at this rate it still may be difficult. My question is, are there any grants or scholarships that may be applicable to our situation? If there are or if there are any ideas as to how we could speed up the process any advise would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.
