After a week off, the group got together this week at Fishback to do a little jammin' and bondin'. Yeah man, it was cool!!! We ran through more old "favorites" than I can count. We also made a point of working on a new cover idea for Phyl, which shall remain a secret, at least until we see if we can make it work. There was some small discussion this week, as to the direction the band should take from today, forward. Although there was no formal agreement, the general consensus was that we needed to find a balance between doing the live gig band thing and working on the new CD as a recording group. That may present some issues, but I look forward to that and the prospect of recording some new tunes from Fat Freddy's Cat, and the possible reworking of several tunes we thought we already had "in the can." More on that subject as events transpire. Gotta go for now. Peace, someday. cw |
