Hey, Elwood, you racing this Saturday? I've got me another ratty old airtronics servo! OK guys, don't forget about the snack bar being closed. Some of you were looking a little puny by days end last time. (I thought there was going to be a fight over a can of bennie wennies) I'll bring my 48qt cooler again, so if someone needs to borrow some cooler space, help yourself. Once again, Gini is conveniently going to be off at another track so, I don't have a pit person. I guess the "evil" twin has struck again!

Chance, sorry I didn't see your post until today. As you already know I did race. James called me this morning and asked about the crystals he loaned you. Here's his phone number. 778-3373 in Goldsboro. He wants to try to get them back before next Saturday. We are going to try to go down to Hope Mills. If you'd like to go let me know. Talk to you later.

Hey Chance. Good race last weekend. I didn't get to finish, but I sure gave it all I had. I think I found another reason for my overheating. My rear diff was almost frozen up. Couldn't even turn the outdrives with my hands. Fortunately the gears are fine. I hope I can get this 01 ready to go by this Saturday. If so we'll see what happens with it. I've got to find a 5mm brass nipple for the boost bottle, and a header gasket for this Picco engine. The one from the Force P4 was too, too big. Well, see you next weekend at Rosewood. Start getting your 1/10th ready. The indoor track is well on it's way to completion. See ya.

What's it going to be? Truck, buggy or rally car? I'm leaning toward buggy. What are you going to get Elwood? How about James, has he said yet? There should be a good number of trucks, we may need to go that way. If the jumps are not too large, a rally car class would be fun. Full body, no wheels sticking out,(lean on the guy next to you to get the inside line.) What ever is cool, let me know so I can start looking for an electric something.

Hey Chance, Hey Mike, I still am undecided. Don't really know which way I'll go yet. I'll have to see. Hey Mike, Tony made it back to SD by 7 am Sunday morning. He is sending some more decals so he said not to put any on the truck yet. Will see you guys this weekend.

I guess that means I'm pretty much all set for the inside,, I've got a B3, a T3, a Jugg to go crushing with and even a Street Weapon that I have no qualms about turning into a rally car.

Well just rub it in Ron! I've got nothing, well next to nothing, a ten year old losi JR-T. Two weeks before I found out about the indoor stuff, I gave my Rally Weapon to my boy. I can just imagine how much fun it would be to race that old truck...NOT! Anyone feel sorry for me yet?

Hey Chance. Well it wouldn't quite run the way it should. I seem to have an air leak somewhere. It was idling really high. Had alot of power though. So the rain isn't all my fault. The indoor should be finished tomorrow. Glenn and myself will be their to roll the track and put down the pipe. That should finish it up. Will be ready to race next race day. Oh everyone needs to come to the next race. John, the guy who does the video magazine tapes is going to video Rosewood Raceway track for his next video. He came in today and Glenn took him to see the track. So come on out and be ready to smile for the camera.

Hey Superman, can you post a good starting point for a T3 at Rosewood? pinion/spur, etc. The reason I'm asking is because one of the guys I work with just got one of those RTR T3s. I know most people there run the P2K motor, but I don't know about gearing. Hey Ron, what about you? I know you have run the trucks there as much or more than anyone. Any info for a new guy? I'm going to loan him a set of tires, Proline step pins rear and Edge fronts. I ran those in gas truck, I think the electrics are running the same. Thanks

Elwood, will the next race day be an indoor race? Keep after that air leak, they can ruin an engine. About the rain, I think I'm going to blame you anyway! Can you handle it? Gini, is the date/time on Grenich Mean Time? I think a lot of sites are going to a global time standard.

No, I can't give out any secrets!! Hehe, I don't really know if I'm a good person for setup advice. I just drive. But start with 1° neg camber in the rear and about 1~2° in the front. As far as gearing, either 20 or 21. Try that out. I used a 22. But am goin back to 21 or 20. Probably a GM3 would be best for outdoor. Indoor would be the P2K Pro with 19 or 20. 87 spur of course. Battery all the way back for me. Helps keep the front up on the tiny jumps and gives more rear traction. Use the stock oil 30wt front/rear. Green Springs all around. I hope this is a good starting point. Like I said before, I don't really setup my car. I just drive. Although I do setup my Touring Car. Hmmm oh yeah, the camber links, uhhh short up front, long in rear. I might switch up front though. Dunno yet. We'll see.

Chance, When I signed up for this message board I was not given an opportunity to add time. It was not an option in the questionaire. I wish it were. Seems it is confusing to post something and look back and it be 6 hours difference. I'll look into it, but like I said, I cannot upload anything till the main system is back on line. Miss you guys... Hugs!

My T3 uses the 87 spur that it came with and I usually use a 19 or 20 pinion outside. As for tires, I use M3 step pins on the rear, and the stock M3 edge tires on the front. Motor is a P2K with a few cuts on it. Can run upfront with it, but the drivers usually screws up causing it to fall back in the pack. (Be nice Elwood,,,) As for the batteries, mine are in the middle of the slot and other than that,, it's a stock truck that works pretty darn good. As for the inside,, it's almost done and before it was waterd today,, last Sat. I ran my B3 around on it useing steppins in the rear, stock ribs in front and it was dialed! 81/18 gearing and it had lots of speed down the front stretch into turns 1+2. Now that it's been waterd,, we'll probably be able to use fuzzys or mini pins. More on this later,,, Elwood,, if you need a car to run, just ask me. If I'll let Glenn run my stuff, you can too. I mean, you drive better than he does, don't you???

Thanks for the setup info, I made notes and will pass it along. I feel you can add one more to the electric truck class. He should have enough stuff to race with by the next race day. I, on the other hand, have no electric racer. I'm still leaning toward buggy, if there's going to be enough to fill a class. I should get a T3, I have a pile of stuff from my GT that I could use on it. Ron, what's your take on the track, is it going to get smooth so the buggies will be fast? Are the jumps to big to run a rally car?

Chance, the track is finished and fuzzies are not hooking up. Will probaably need bow-ties or step pins to get any good traction. As for the track being smooth surface and packed, that's what Glenn is shooting for. On the next race on the 20th, outside. The weekend after will be indoors. And to answer a long awaited response to what I might run, I think I will try truck. Don't ask me why because I can't give you any reason. Just like what is available I guess. Don't really know too much about the difference in buggy and truck. See you on the 20th.

Oh it's smooth alright, but for me,, a few of the jumps are a little steep. Too much speed into them and your gonna go up, but not out very far. Right now they're sort of like motocross style jumps. Not that that's a bad thing,, just going to take some getting used too. As for testing, I'm gonna try to get out there with my buggy and truck as I have Bowties and step pins for both to try and see which'll hook up better.

Hey Ron, did you get any of my Emails? Steve didn't show up at HopeMills/Fayetteville. So I was just wondering. Also, do you want to head up to Roanoke to race Touring Cars this Sunday? Just curious if you and Steve wanted to go. Basically the same thing as Chapel Hill (one of the guys there runs it.) Anyways, see you guys this weekend at Rosewood. Rain or shine!

Step pins definatly work better than the fuzzies I tried the first time,,,, This weekend is the opening of the indoor track, so come on out and play, as now we won't have to worry about rain!! Also, Nov. 3rd will be the last race of the OUTDOOR season, and we are hoping to run the monster buggies again!!! The last time we ran them it was a blast!! That is until Jimmy W drove over my buggy in the main!! Remember, these buggies are 1/6th scale to which, 1/8th scales are speed bumps!!!!!
