OK folks. Saturday October 27, 2001 is the GRAND OPENING of the Rosewood Indoor Offroad Track. We will be running 1/10th scale electric buggy/truck and 1/10th scale gas (weather permitting). Hope to have truck classes - Spec, Stock, and Modified if we have enough entries in each class to make a race. Track will open at 12:00 noon and we will run until all classes are finished. We are expecting a big turn out so be there or be square.=)

As well the parts room has a good supply of parts for Associated and Losi vehicles and plenty of tires, both mounted and unmounted. So come on out and have some fun this Saturday. See you there.

Now Elwood,, he did say last week that he wasn't gonna run gas this weekend. Now did he change his mind without telling me again??? LOL
Besides,, they're saying it's gonna be a little more than chilly for all you southern folk on Sat., and I know he aint gonna have the heat on and the doors open,,,,LOLOLOL

Squares don't roll very good.
chance posted 10/27/01 2:32 AM
I vote NO gas. We don't need no stinking gas!
No smoking indoors, people or trucks.

After racing today, I definately vote NO gas. That and no rutes! Hehe

Rute or Rut... uhhh I think it's Rut... opps....
chance posted 10/30/01 0:22 AM
I think the "washboard" area will be fine, when the square edges wear to a more rounded profile.
They sure were rough on my little rally car!
Ron Zeee posted 11/1/01 5:49 PM     Click here to send email to Ron Zeee
I too think the edges will wear more when more races are run on the track,, other than that, it is a pretty decent track to run on! Too bad my driving sucks,,,,,
chance posted 11/2/01 0:53 AM
Well Ron, you can take comfort in knowing you are not along! My driving bites. After this last outdoor race, I'm going to make an effort to get something to race indoors. You guys are going to have a track time advantage on me.
Elwood, are you going to race electric, or just wrench for your driver? What about Sat. you going to run 1/8?

Hey Ron, did the video come out good from the Chapel Hill race? I think I'll finally race Tony G's T3 at Rosewood outdoors this weekend. I'll use his gear so that I can put all my other stuff in my other Yokomo for Stock class at Chapel Hill. Then I'll have two cars, one mod and one stock. Ron, any idea's on foams yet for TC?

Hey, does anyone know if those AMB personal transpoders will work with Rosewoods system?
Ron Zeee posted 11/8/01 3:39 AM     Click here to send email to Ron Zeee
I know, and the answer is: they will NOT work with Glenns system. The reason is, the new AMB system is digital and the older ones like Glenns are analog. Simply put, they don't get along. These personal transponders will only work with the new AMB/RC system. Even last years model, the AMB system 20, won't work.
Now,, if there was someway we could help Glenn get the money to get a new system,,,,,,
chance posted 11/10/01 2:30 AM
Well...if no one collected the pay back money at the end of the day it would be a start.
Now we only need a dozen or so more ideas!

Well, I do take my "winnings" but more often than not,, I tend to lose them LOL
I wonder,, will posting results work here???

Also Gini, you might want to alter the Track index info for Rosewood. It's now called Raceway instead of Speedway, and the snack bar has been,,,"disassembled" in favor of a few soda machines and vending machines.

Not a problem Ron. Also, feel free to post winnings etc., here cause unlike the weekly deleating that gets done on TTT, I usually don't deleate a thread till it is 3 or 4 months old and no one uses it anymore.

Just for the record, I was not last in stock buggy. I broke in the last heat race and did not start (DNS).
Ron, thanks for posting the results, it's nice to see who did what.

Yeah, it was not my weekend either :( My worst finish yet hehehe. Hey Ron, our new pics are up on the Chapel Hill website for the last race. Just thought I'd let ya know. Welp, gotta go back to setting up my car for Mooresvilles and Hampton next weekend. Touring Cars finally!

Went to Hampton yesterday,, what a nice little oval with a tight little road course laid out in the infeild. Jimmy goes out on the first time being there and TQ's, and then comes in second in the main. Me??? I won the B-main. With 5 laps between me and the A-main crowd. God I need some Batteries,,, maybe a motor or two too,,,,,,

Hey everyone miss being in Goldsboro NC! no off-road tracks here in San Diego! I'm going to try and fly back for the big cash race in January or February if work permits. We need to race gas, gas, gas, remember runs on gas and hauls _ss! Hey superman having fun with the factory team yet? I know it’s only eye candy! Haven’t decided on which TC to buy yet!

Ron Zeee posted 12/6/01 4:27 AM
Well, if I can find the results sheet, I'll post them sometine soon, but they did make it into the "round file".
Anyhow,, how'd you like the crowd Sat.?? Not too shabby for a track that "would never work".
I love to see those yahoos eat their words about that!!!
So,, Anyone wanna go race TC's up in Va. this weekend?? LOL
Superman posted 12/7/01 0:56 AM     Click here to send email to Superman
You know I would if I can find a place to race :). Remember that Hampton is having an Oval only race Saturday. But that new place is suppose to open up with a carpet indoor track. Still waiting on info on that one......
