Hello all. This is just a spot to let everyone know the progress of constructio or destruction (as it may be) of the indoor dirt track at Rosewood RC Race Track. As of today we took a really big chunk out of the track. As a matter of fact, the back straight away is gone. Things are moving along vary well and should be no problem meeting the November goal for completion. Hopefully will be done long before then. If you would like to come out and give us a hand contact Glen at the Hobby Corner (919) 734-7754 to find out when we will be there. Thanks for your support and looking forward to many races to come both inside and out. |

Hello all. The indoor track is coming along great. We have had some great help and we should finish tearing out the remainder of the track tonight. Then it's on to constructing the new dirt track, INDOORS. Glen is still working on the design. Should be a good one. Will continue to update as we go along. Thanks for your continued support. Many happy races. See you there. |

Ok. We didn't get as much done tonight as we hoped to. The saws-all blade got broke and we didn't have another one to replace it with. So will go back tomorrow night with plenty of extras and should finish up. Then we'll start on the dirt track. Will definately be interesting. Glen is leaving part of the front straight away and turns one and two in place (if the dirt will stay there). Then there will be a long straight down the back. That's as far as the design process is at this time. Any ides for a great indoor offroad track? Talk to Glen. I'm sure he will listen to all suggestions. Thanks for your ear. |

Walt wants to see lots of jumps, big jumps. Offroad, hmm... should we throw in a pothole or two? http://bentkneerc.globalredirect.com |

Hello all. Well we finished with the destruction last night. Now we will clean up real good and then it's on to construction of the new and improved indoor OFFROAD track! Gini, I don't know what Glen has in mind yet but I can tell you there will be a big drop off after turn two. If Walt can visualize the indoor track half the front straight is left and turn 1 & 2 but as you come off turn 2 the track will drop abruptly. It's not a pot hole but I visualize a few cars going end over end there. You'll be able to tell more on Saturday when you come. Unless your going to the Watermellon. I know alot of our racers are going to it. Well that's about it for now. Will keep you posted. |

Well, even though you guys didn't come, (Gini and Walt), we had a good showing in stock trucks. Me? I did my usuall,, started forth, was last after the first turn,, got back up to 5th at the end. Not too bad considering there were 9 trucks in the main! AQnyhow,, the floor is all cleaned up now inside, and after Glenn gets some walls up, (needs to cover the exposed 2x4's from the old turn 3/4 wall), Soon after will follow the dirt. How'd you fare at the classic? |

Hello All. I haven't had any updates this week because Glen was getting the panelling for the inside of the walls. I didn't get to talk to him today I had to go to Fayettevill for a Dr. appointment. Left early got back late. So will see what I can find out tomorrow. Take care and see you at the races. |

PUT a great big exhaust in there so we can run gas! |

NOT!!! Actually, with what Glenn is talking about for the width of the lanes and the tightness of some of the turns,, it'll be really hard to get those gas trucks around the track. Those .12's go way too fast anyhow,,, how about switching them out for say,,, an .049? LOLOL |

Losidirtdevil. If the weather is nice enough to open the doors will probably run 1/10th gas but the track will most likely not support 1/8th. Go figure. Anyway will probably start working on paneling tomorrow night and work remainder of week on indoor track if anyone wants to assist. This Saturday is raceday. Make plans now to come out and be with us. Thanks and see you all there. |

Hello all. It's me again. Did not work on the indoor track at all last week due to the extreme heat. I believe Glen wants to try to go over tomorrow night and work some. I will have to check with him. Give you update after I find out something. |

I love off-road, but I agree,, I would've rather have a road course to run on. Heck, he could even do that and not even have to get carpet. But,, I'll let you all know that the dirt is inside and all that's left is rakeing it out and laying the pipes. VOLENTEERs NEEDED!!!! |

OK. As for the coments on the carpet track, Glenn is a business man and he has to do what is best for business. And here's the latest. As of today, Saturday, September 29, 2001, the dirt has been dragged and obstacles are going in. The layout was designed Wednesday and should be very challenging for all. It will be fast and technical. Alot of turns. Alot of bumps and jumps. Get your driving skills polished up. You'll need them. We should be ready to race on it in several more weeks. For those of you that are helping a great big THANKS. For those that want to but can not. We understand. We appreciate the help we are getting. If you would like to give a hand, call Glenn at the Hobby Store. Well, will keep you posted. This track looks good right now. Come on out Saturday, October 6, 2001, and race or just enjoy the fellowship with all the drivers and fans. Thanks, and will keep you informed of our progress. |

I get to tell this latest update:: The track is so near completion, Glenn today said that if it rains on the 20th, we'll race inside!! The pipes got laid today, some of it got rolled flat and it's been watered. Elwood been touching up the paint, and everything is looking good to go for a good opening day. BUT, when that definatly is, is still in the air,, but it's gonna be soon!! Me personally, I can't wait!!! More later,, Ron Zeee Your shirt is still waiting,,, |

Thanks Ron for the update. As of today, October 11,2001, the indoor track is complete. The grand opening is scheduled for October 27, 2001. Be there or be square. Glenn plans to run outdoor one weekend and indoor the next weekend (that's every weekend) until it is too cold to run outdoors. We will be removing the soda fountain, ice machine, etc. to make room for drink machine and snack machines. Come on out and enjoy the race. Pass the word around. This track is awesome. |

Sounds good! But, when you say race outdoor one weekend and then indoor the next, do you mean racing there every weekend? Just curious as to some of us like to race in Fayetteville (Hopemills) the other weekends that Rosewood doesn't. This means that racers will be thinned out and will have even less competitors racing at each track. Of course I seem to be the only guy that races Trucks at Hopemills. So it wouldn't really matter to me hehe. And of course I don't see any of their racers (truck class) racing at Rosewood. Oh well, I'll see how things go at Hopemills this weekend and chat with the guys there about it. I plan on racing there til their season is up. Gotta win there at least once! ;) |

Okay,, the latest latest update about the track: so far it seems that fuzzy type tire treads WON'T be the way to go. It looks more like SOFT step pins. Gonna try to get out there and do some more testing to find out what works so we can let the public know before they get here. Also, if you haven't been out in a while, the parts selection for off-road vehicals is growing as Glenn has taken out most of the oval stuff. More later,,, Ron Zeee |
