I saw a thread on your (Andreas) Bentz Genealogy Forum about the artist John Bentz. I believe this is the same John Bentz that I am hoping to learn about. I am a painting restorer and I am studying another restorer (now deceased) who stated she was trained in restoration/conservation of art by John Bentz "restorer for the Brooklyn Museum". I have checked with the Brooklyn Museum- they have no records of him- this would have been in the 1920's, 1930's time period. Did anybody find out any more about him? Could you confirm that he restored paintings as well as created paintings???? Thank you!!!
