I gotta say it was almost more fun on Friday when we went searching without clues (oops). There were more "options" of places where they could be, so it was exciting....I mean, we looked at every little thing.

We logged in over 10 miles on my pedometer today searching Liberty and Jordan Park--no luck. My son (age 9) and daughter (age 6) can't wait to get out there again tomorrow. They did find $2.00 at Liberty Park. Travel: $30.00+ in gas; Food & Drinks: $20.00+; Treasure hunting with children: Priceless!

gretel. it is always on options to be hardcore and
go clueless. i would be very impressed if anyone
managed to find an artwork without a clue.
in my nine hunts i am not aware of anyone just
happening on a miniature artwork without looking
for it. however, there have been some unclaimed art
which may have been found without any clues.

We braved the early morning transients and found clue #5 (the bat) at pioneer park @ 7am this morning!! - also found 4 near misses (#3 at city creek...gone, #4 at Memory Grove...gone, #10 at Jordan Park...gone, #6 at Liberty Park [out on the island over the bridge]...gone). It's looking like the Turtle Turtle is the only one left. Happy hunting all.

Just got back from clues #3, 4, and 6--gone. #4 was behind the WWI veteran's memorial in City Creek; #3 was under the bridge in lower City Creek (only the tape was there); #6 in Liberty Park was gone too.

Congratulations to all those who were successful--my children are heartbroken, but I promised them we could make our own treasure for them to hunt. Will have to make a donation and hope William comes back next year!

Good job, finders! I should have gone out early in the morning today like I did yesterday. I would have had a good shot at the one in Liberty Park or the one in Pioneer Park. Instead, I went out very very early (4:00 am) and tried to be first to get to one of the two that I knew exactly where they were (City Creek and Memory Grove), but they were already gone. And then, it was dark and the parks were all closed until dawn, so I couldn't wander around looking through the other parks. So I went home and ended up sleeping through my chance at any of the others. Bummer.

congrats to everyone. I will update the site before
noon.
there are still a few unclaimed artworks, so
hopefully i hear from the finders of those people
soon. you guys really devoured the medium clues,
which is a sign of great hunters.
i hope to do this again in the future. i will also be
posting a video of this hunt in a week or so, please
check back soon to see video.
and come meet us painting in the park today and
tomorrow, before we head west back home.

is anyone sure that the Liberty Park turtle is not still out there?
i want to be sure it is.
i am considering liberty park's turtle to still be hidden until i verify this afternoon.
the rest have been confirmed found by multiple sources. the website will be updated within the half hour

Just talked to William..the Liberty Park turtle is indeed found (it was across the bridge, on the north side of the island in the pond). That means all turtles have been found. Congrats to everyone who played!

hey, william, next time you come to utah, will you do some parks in west jordan, sandy, south jordan, etc? :D
williamhessian posted 7/29/08 0:36 AM
i would like to do art hunts everywhere if possible. the more people you can get excited about a possible art hunt in your area the better chance I will be able to afford to come.
this art tour has lost a decent amount of money overall, but has potential to possibly break even in the future.
ask around to see if there is support in Jordan and those areas from local businesses or children/art organizations.
