Gareth Hughes was Wales' first broadway and hollywood star.He was born in Llanelli,Carmartheshire. His birth name was William John Hughes. He arrived in America back in 1914 with the Welsh Players a small theater group.When they returned to the UK,he stayed on and became very successful on Broadway and later in the film industry.
