Performance Bikes magazine ran a joke article (August 2000) about tuning Honda C90's and you could probably order the back issue. They gave three standard bikes to well known tuning company's for a laugh and to see what they could do! None of them came back suitable to ride on the road but you might find some useful info. You could try monkey bikes which are made by Honda (and copied by the Chinese) and use 50, 70 and 90cc Cub engines. They are raced profesionally in Japan and tuning parts can be obtained quite easily from, amongst others, Monkey Bike UK, Tel 0192 642 5550. They will also sell you brand new chinese made engines from 85 to 110cc with semi-auto or manual 4 speed gearboxes(£295 to £500). If you stick to the semi-auto's they will drop right in but you but if yours is an older model you might need the wider footrest bar from a newish Honda C90 electic start as the older bars are too narrow to clear the larger 4 speed box.Their catalogue will have you salavating, how about a 125cc, close ratio 6 speed, nitrous oxide, 100mph+ C90! You wont like the cost so much though.MBD Tuning also sell tuning parts on the web but not such a large amount of C90 compatable ones.A cheaper way would be a second hand engine from one of the many Chinese or Tiwanese bikes made under licence from Honda. Jialing make a 90cc 4 speed thats a straight swop as even the wiring is the same colour (I know because I put a Honda 90cc engine in a blown 50cc example myself) and some of the other makes use a 110cc engine. The Jialing 90cc also comes with proper hydraulic forks but I've been after a second hand set for years and never seen any.Good luck with whatever you do.

Am actually looking for a C90 engine at the moment to put in my Chinky Monkey Bike. For all good tips and info go to www.monkeyrun.co.uk, the firum there is the best in the UK. There are also links there to shops which sell hydralic forks and can probably get some second hand ones if you put a post up.Will (Idioteque)
