My crayfish recently molted and was fine then a day later I found him sqeezed up inside one the ornaments in the tank where he hides. I lifted it out and the crayfish fell out in the tank by seemed ok.He lied on the bottom of the tank upside down I keep turning over but he would turn upside down again. I thought he was dying so I left him alone for a day or two. In those two days he never moved so I went to get rid of him and when I touched him he was back to normal. Just bewildered as to what happened. Would anyone have any idea. Thanks

Mark, what we have found out with the Red Claw that they expell so much enegry just molting and use the sacks behind there eyes to harden their shells backup within that two day period some do die. Or are harassed by other crayfish or fish in general. If we see a cray that has molted we put him in a pipe or move him into a bucket with a little water.
