Diferent species become mature in diferent age - For example Cherax quadricarinatus - 7 months old and aprox. 100g. in weight. Orconectes sp. aprox. 17-23mm in lenght. Procambarus clarkii after 45mm. Crayifsh of the same species can become mature at different sizes and ages. Crayfish have alot of variance in their growth rates. To give exact sizes and ages is very difficult to do . |

Breeding size has absolutely nothing to do with the size of the crayfish. This maturity regulation is a result of crayfish being cold blooded. Knowing that, the sexual age of crayfish is usually expressed when the gonophores of the species are visually apparent. So in the context of your question, how long is a piece of string.....
