Hi! My wonderful fish Bob just died, and I feel bad taking down his tank. I have been wanting to get a crawfish, but had been afraid to put one in with Bob.
Any advice that anyone can give to me would be great! I have a 10 gallon tank, and i only put about 4 or 5 inches of water in it. It has both sand and gravel, and a big rock. I have a light on top, and the gravel banks up to make a "beach."
Is there anything else I need to do before I get a crawfish? Also, what breed would be best? I love the ones that get big, but obviously I cant have one TOO big, as I dont have a huge tank.
Thanks for any replies!

Where do you live? Where you live will determine what you can legally have and what is available in your area. You actually want a full tank of water with an aerator and a filter. Crayfish Like to escape so people usually put tinfoil around any exposed openings like where the aerator cord goes into the fishtank, and over the filter cover. Also, do not have a heater in your fishtank, it will eventually malfunction and kill your crayfish
