I heard this is a good place to fish. What kind of fish can I catch there this fall? What is the best bait? Thank you. |

Don: When the weather cooperates good fishing can be had for perch, bass and bluegill during the fall season. You won’t find many other anglers on the water at this time of year but that doesn’t mean there aren’t fish to be caught. Best method for perch and bluegill is a piece of worm fished near the bottom. For bass use a whole worm and fish the creek arms. For more information of fishing warm water fishes contact The Oregon Bass & Panfish Club at http://obpc0.tripod.com/ There is a map of the lake available at http://www.co.washington.or.us/deptmts/sup_serv/fac_mgt/parks/haggmap.htm If you require more information please free free to e-mail me. http://www.localfishermannews.com NW Oregon & SW Washington Fishing News and Reports |

More than likely Channel Cats are the only cats in the lake. As you move north fewer species of catfish will survive or acclimate to the temps in northern tier lakes. Channel cats are the most tolerant of temperatures. Blue Cats and others may live that far north but should be there in smaller numbers. http://www.1fghp.com |
