I am going to assume that you are fishing for Freshwater Catfish, (there are saltwater cats, but not sure they live in your waters) Try using Crayfish, Worms or dough baits. I have even heard of folks using Ivory Soap.. It is made from I believe 90% animal fats? Small bluegill or panfish either alive or dead, cut up is also good. Catfish have a strong sense of smell. Blood baits, or cut baits work good. They do however love to hit live bait. I once saw an approximately 70 pound catfish come up from the depths to eat a bluegill that was chasing a small spinner bait I was using. http://www.1fghp.com |
