my relative fought with the 1st md calavary 1861 to 1865. i can only find information from 1864 to 1865. his name was michael hufnagal private. after the war he serverd with 143 garrison in north dakota. i need to find information , thanks any information would be helpful |

I looked on the nps system, http://www.itd.nps.gov/cwss/soldiers.htm, He was in Company D to be exact. rank of Private. I have friends in the geneology hobby that may be able to provide extra info. I will email you. |
