Saddle 'em up boys, we are at war! The United States is attempting to unseed one of the biggest madmen of our time...Saddam Insane. There's alot of people who don't think we should be there, they say it's not our fight, none of our business. Who's business is it? Do we sit back and let "him" keep all of his weapons and possibly develop or buy more and then shove them up our ass? Then we stand back and say "whoops"? I don't think so.
People, we gave him over a decade to turn over those weapons and stand down. He chose not to. We told him over and over...do it or else. He chose to ignore us. I'm from the old school...if you make a promise or threat, you better be ready and willing to back it up. He's just nuts enough to think we were bluffing. Cards are on the table, now what do you think Saddam? Here we come...knock knock!
I keep saying "we". That is because even though it's the President and the Pentagon doing the talking, they are Americans, same as you and me. They are speaking on our behalf...for our protection. If we let this madman continue on his merry way, garnering all the "weapons of mass destruction" he chooses, how long before he decides to launch a batch at us that will make September 11th look like a street gang fight? If he gets his hands on nukes, do you really think he wouldn't try to level off a few hundred thousand acres of US soil just because we made him look weak 12 years ago? He starts kicking us, it's a little too late to go after him then. Damage will aready be done...Innocent lives snuffed. You won't be able to drive to your corner office in your Volvo, drinking your Starbucks coffee, talking on your cel phone about your IRA account. You'll be playing duck and cover.
A couple months ago, people were plastic wrapping their houses because there might be an airborn virus released on our country. Sorry, but the hardware store doesn't sell enough duct tape and shrink wrap to cover ourselves from what Saddam could do if left to his own devices. Stop the threat now!
I think the Iraqi populace might be a bit happier as well! Lifting the fear they live under day by day that any opinion they express could get them and their families executed. thar fact shows through when 17 of Saddam's own soldiers surrendered BEFORE we even got there!
I can't wrap this up without saying a couple things about George W. I wasn't a big fan of President Bush after the Florida voting thing. When he first got into office, my opinion was basically "whatever". But look at all the crap he's had thrown at him so far. Starting with 9/11 all the way up to having the UN turn their back on him. But let's face it...the man has balls. He stuck to his guns (so to speak). Back to what I stated earlier about making a threat. He had to follow through. Agree with him or not, that is your right as an American. But the decision has been made. There is no turning back now. Now he needs our support, as do the men and women overseas defending our right to agree or disagree with our leaders. My flag is flying high...I am a proud American.
Let our soldiers go in, do their job and come home safely. And when they do come home...remember to say thanks!

Alright, I have to admit years later, some of the things I said here weren't right, Sadaam with his WMDs and the whole Bush thing in general. But they did reflect my opinion at the time. I still stan by most of what I said, Just maybe 4 years of Bush would have been enough. Hey though...at least Sadaam is toast, right? (still voicing my opinion)
