I have a Maxxum 400si that locks up after I turn it on. I had this problem before & had it repaired but it happened again. Right after I turn it on I can auto-focus once then the shutter locks up. The I see the read-out info in the view finder but it goes blank. The repair center replaced the aperture ring. Now the same problem. I can still see out of the view finder I just can't take the picture. Does anyone know if this is a design defect with the Maxxums'. I like the camera but if it's going to keep breaking down from a defect I'll just replace it with another Minolta. Also if anyone has any testimonials on newer Minolta's it would be nice to hear. I have th same problem with a 450si. Had the same problem in 1995 with a 7000i and then in 1997 with a 9xi. did you ever hear from anyone on how to repair it other than shipping it to the repair center? |
