How does a badger distinguish weather or not a badger is part of its clan? |

All badgers in a clan 'musk' each other with their own scent, from a gland under the base of the tail. |

Early Spring, eg. February/March, - depending on the mildness of Winter. Cubs can be born later though, eg. up to around May. New born cubs do not emerge from the sett for several weeks. |
