Alert - USDA-APHIS enforcement will put an end to seed trades!I am posting a thread, that is only indirectly related to our talk of thething we love: Trading plants and seeds! :) On the other hand, it will affect all involvedin future seeds/cuttings/plants exchange forums.The 22. january USDA-APHIS will enforce that all plant material entriesinto the US must be accompanied by a physiosanitary certificate.The same rules apply to the seeds and cuttings, that both you and I personally trade in ourlovely forum.Before January 22., it was widely accepted, that an entire crop requiredone certificate for each started acre of land, but the situation for non-USpersonal plant trades or seedsmen is, that certification is needed for eachindividual shipment.I am truely concerned also about this and other plant/seed exchange forumsas well. If the USDA-APHIS gets its way it will be the end of all exchangesbetween US and and Countries outside the US. But we can make a difference.I see a future, where we can exchange freely and globally.
