Welcome to the Good-Hileman Message Board. I have created this board in response to many genealogical researchers who have requested a place to post their additions, corrections and comments relating to the information and families contained in the book "The History of the Good-Hileman Family" printed in 1912. It is my hope visitors to this board will contribute anything that relates to the book or any of the families named in the book, their ancestors or descendants. Also, I invite any corrections to any errors the book may contain. I do wish that this board become yet another resource for Good and Hileman researchers to meet and exchange information. Greetings from the Montana side of the Good family. I was very pleased to see this site exists. My father is William Kenneth Good, Jr., his father was William Kenneth Good, Sr., whose father was Hezekiah Crissman Good, and my great-great grandfather was David Good(b. 9/2/1844) of Smicksburg, Pennsylvania. I would like to find some more in depth Good Family history. |

Hal or Twylah: You wouldn't happen to know if Levina/Levinia Crissman(married to David Good b. 9/2/1844)was Caroline Crissman's sister(who married Michael Hileman). I'm finding out all sorts of Good Family info, but I have nothing on the Crissman side of the family. |

Hi Hal! Again, thank you for all the work you have done getting all this on the web. Due to a huge *&%%$$@! crash of my computer, I am now ready to start rebuilding. A note to all... SAVE SAVE SAVE!! I'm really glad the site is still here. |

Catherine (Caty) Hileman b. 1784-86 Albany Township, Berks Co. Pa. move to Rowan Co NC and married John Yost ca.1774 in 1805. They came to Un Co IL around 1817, with them was a young Alexander Douglas b. 1805 NC. He was close to the Yost all his life. Does anyone know the connection, was he kin, servitude, etc? I cannot find any info on him before he came to Un Co IL. He is buried at St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery, Dongola,. IL. Thank you. |
