Your article regarding swaddling cloths is very interesting. However, it does not prove to me that Jesus was not the Son of God and that Mary was not conceived by the Holy Spirit. Here's why: God is His Father, and the salt and swaddling cloths state that same fact. He was not illegitimate because He was born of a virgin. The only way He could have been illegitimate is if Joseph were his father because Mary and Joseph were not married when she conceived. In summary, the swaddling cloths/salt prove further that He was and is the Son of God.

I myself don't believe in the theory of a tri-une god. Yahweh is one God. The word Yeshua means Yahweh is saviour, but I find it hard to believe that Yeshua had a human biological father, since then it would make him prone to the fallen nature of man. Life, coming from the male seed, is placed into the body, which is provided by the female seed, through conception to become a new human being. Yeshua was found to be sinless, which can only indicate that the body He was in got its life directly from Yahweh whom was His father. I believe that this is the only way in which Yeshua and Yahweh can be one and can Yeshua be the sacrifice of blood needed to reconcile us with Yahweh. As was promised to Abraham when he called out Yahweh Yireh or Yahweh will see Himself when his own son Isaac asked Abraham about the sacrificial lamb.

Comment: An extremely informative article. Very enlightening....until the last paragraph which in my opinion is a perfect 'non sequiter'. If I understand the argument, the writer seems to think he has proved that there is no way that anyone other than the NATURAL father can possibly be a LEGITIMATE father. Not even if he is chosen by God and specifically assigned to that position, in a one-to-one meeting, as Joseph was?
If a prospective father knew he was not going to be able to parent his son (terminal illness, certain death in combat, etc.) and asked his unmarried friend to marry his wife, soon to be a widow, and rear his son....then doesn't the friend become the legitimate father even though he is not the NATURAL father?
Also, the Angel Gabriel told Mary that God's Holy Ghost would come upon her and cause her to conceive. Look what happened to Zacharias, who more or less accused Gabriel of lying. Best not to contradict Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God Himself!
Then, too, you have the ancient legal principle that any child of a married woman is considered the legitimate son of her husband unless the husband specifically disowns that child. Which Joseph never did.
