I have had MVP all my life - but have only "really" become symptomatic over the past 4-5 years. Once in awhile, I will get up from bed, and it almost feels like (a small amount of)liquid is being poured over my heart. Like there is liquid moving around my heart area and then the sensation is gone. Has anyone else experience this? Also, I have been told that the left side of my back (behind my heart) looks puffy / or swollen. Can anyone tell me if this is normal? Thanks in advance!!!!

Did you ever consider acid reflux? If the stomach acid is sitting in the bottom of your esophagus while you are laying down, it would run back into your stomach when you are getting up. Maybe that's the sensation you're feeling. A lot of stomach problems/pains can be confused with heart problems.

I too have had that happen. Even just sitting. I thought I might be bleeding inside. I have mvp and svt so maybe this feeling is common.
