I hear alot of times MVP being described as a billowing of the leaflet into the left atrium, but I was wondering whether anyone has valve thickening (also called myxomatous degeneration). My echo results always show this and I was wondering if it makes MVP worse having a mishapen valve. I am a 23 year old male and was diagnosed with MVP 3 yrs. ago. Thank you for your time. |
