I've been thinking about who would survive if the Govt. were abolished and Hollywood was shut down. All you morons that believe in evolution are going against the grain of your thinking. "Survival of the fittest"? You people need to think hard about what builds a country and makes it strong....It's not lazy azz people getting handouts. This country was built by people that had a vision and will to work and accomplish something. If this country would have been started by liberals, we'd be the United States of German or Cuba. We wouldn't have had the industrial revolution, you'd be riding horses and living in Govt. housing. You morons need to wake up and figure out what made America what it is. It wasn't sponges, welfare, or handouts...It was hard work and determination. Not determination to suck everyone dry, determination to succeed and be successful. Most of these idiot liberal posts make me want to puke. Anyone got a vomit bag? |

I hope it's someone new...no one on the PSD Board deserves to be re-upped. Why are we spending so much $$$$ on Colmer Middle School? It needs to be bull dozed and one new middle school be built in a safer location. I'm still amazed that one of the largest and best funded school districts in the state still has one of the least qualified Supers. Unfortunately our children have been his learning curve and our school district, teachers and community have paid the price... |

Flounderman, you are exactly right. We need to call our city councilman and demand a school board change this year. Last year they changed members and appointed Sonny Backs. He has been a pleasant surprise and to my knowledge is the only member that actually gets out and visits the schools. He also doesn't rubber stamp everything the Super wants like the other members do. Please call your councilman and demand a change. That is the only way we will take back control of our school's. We want Freddie Jackson replaced. |

The Mayor and Chamber of Commerce need to be involved. As I see it there is a group that is fighting the dual enrollment program that is being endorsed by the state department. This would give students the chance to get college credit and high school credit at the same time. There are several who oppose that and it would be a serious mistake. If you black ball MCGCC you would lose several thousand dollars worth of scholarships. Board members and the Chamber need to get involved in that. Dual enrollment works and will save students and families thousands of dollars. Need progressive thinkers. |

This is what I do know. Sonny Backs has visited every school in the district more than once. He sits in teacher lounges and speaks one on one with the people that matter most, the classroom teacher. He attends athletic and other extra curricular events, and he does this in both Pascagoula and Gautier. Can you name another board member who does the same? I wish other board members would and/or could be as involved, but no one else comes close. As far as knowing what I say, trust me I know. . |
