Anybody here who's familiar or knows my uncle Fernando "Bobby" Ubiadas?..Well he passed away last year from diabetes! He used to be the frontman for a band(forgot the name) that does Dave Clark 5 covers in the 60's!..the'y are the fiercest rival of Tito Sotto's band "Tilt Down Men"...but i think my uncle has a better and decent Mike Smith voice than Tito Sotto..and much good looking too! I still remember when i was just a toddler, whenever my uncle's band will practice in my lola's house at Gonzales street in Ermita(just a stone throw away from the Sotto residence, because we live in the same street and they grew up in the same neighborhood)...all the girls in the neighborhood are shrieking like crazy whenever my uncle performs! If you guys can't recall him...he has burn scars on his right arm and hand!..due to a childhood accident from playing with firecrackers! |

I'm sorry but just recalled suddenly the name of my uncle's band..they are called "The Intruders"!..very popular on school campuses in the 60's!...always getting gigs in campus tours...in fact his first wife he met during a gig in St. Scholastica in Manila! |

BTW...if anyone knows my uncle Bobby Ubiadas or his the band "The Intruders" personally like friends or former bandmates please email me..because i want to hear more from you guys about their stories..and also i want to create a tribute site for them!...Thanks! |

Hi ! Ernest, I remembered your uncle's band The Intruders I used to see them performed in one party I attended I got one of their popular instrumental music "Barefoot Intruders" & Call Me Guapo" maybe you have some of their 45's records nila? sa Pinas ka ba? Just call me Boy828188 |
