Hi folks. Does anyone know of any famous people (based in the UK if possible) who have asthma? I know of Paula Radcliffe (winner of this year's London Marathon), Nicole Appleton (I think), and Ian Botham. If I remember correctly, Fluffy of Harry Potter fame also had a bit of airway irritation too! What's the motive? I'm investigating possibilities of getting an "asthmatic celebrity" to present some awards on the Taunton holiday, so anyone that the kids can relate to would be worth bonus points. I offer a Yorkie bar to the best (and most successful) suggestion! |

A for Asthma the Junior Asthma Club magazine often feature celebs talking about Asthma have seen Paul Scholes and Shazney Lewis featured perhaps Patrick could talk yo the Editor? |

What about contacting Children's BBC or ITV or something like NEwsround they may be able to suggest something and may also promote the holidays? |

Lynne from this years big brother was an asthmatic. There is also the penguin in toy story and the donkey in shrek (you can tell the standard of my viewing) |

One option could be to have some or even all PEAK staff dress up as celebrities this way you could have some weird and wonderful characters visiting!? |

Have just read in Make an Impact newsletter that members of Emmerdale were recently involve in the blowing bubbles fund raiser perhaps some of them may be willing to visit a site? Pocklington perhaps? Is there a celeb lined up for Taunton if so can someone e-mail about this and I can mention it at my display with revealing the actual identity. |

No celebrity planned for Taunton as yet (at least I haven't managed to get anyone). I'm afraid exams, post-exam parties and now a placement in London have kind of got in the way. Will pursue if I can... still looking for the perfect celeb to invite. Some good ones have been mentioned already - thanks to everyone who has suggested. |
