Has anyone though about organising a game of Quidditch on a PEAK holiday??? It would have to be land based (can't get my hands on any Nimbus 2000's) and a bit more tame??? Should be fun!!! Kate |

I guess we need some kind of super-duper replacement for the Nimbus broomstick... something like skateboards, space hoppers... rocket-propelled with Pete's help! Okay, maybe the safety front isn't sound on that one. Frizbees could be used for scoring "goals". The link below is to a BBC article about a teacher who has made her own land-based quidditch. Perhaps we could use some of her ideas and adapt them for the holiday? http://news.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/tv_film/ newsid_1871000/1871622.stm Article about land-based quidditch (BBC) |

How about using childrens tricycles instead of broomsticks or perhaps the adults carrying the children piggyback. |

We were thinking about having Quidditch in the swimming pool. We could use the woggles as broomsticks. We'll have to see how feasible this is when we get to Taunton. |
