I had met and talked briefly with Joyce at previous MUFON meetings. But at the last meeting before Christmas of 2000, I mentioned my upcoming book to her (which was still in manuscript form). She seemed intrigued and asked to read it. I gave her a copy. The very next day, she called and invited me to be a guest on her TV show. I was dumbfounded! In December of 2000, I appeared on her show. I was nervous! But Joyce made me feel like I was sitting in her livingroom having a conversation. She encouraged me to get the book published - which, of course, I did. I have been a guest on her TV show twice and her radio show twice. She also encouraged me to start my own local cable TV show - which I did - and had Joyce on as my first guest. "Encourage." Yes, that's what Joyce could do - instill courage in one who just needs a push in that direction. Here it is December 2001 and Joyce has gone home. Only one year?! Has it been such a short time?! I feel that I've known her forever. Perhaps I have. Perhaps I always will. All of the questions she had in this life, as to the true nature of the universe should have been answered by now. If not, you'd better believe that she is busily running around interviewing everyone she can.
