I went to visit Joyce at the hospital the evening before I left for Arizona for the winter. I knew our time together that night would probably be the last time we saw each other. I was very saddened by her passing, but I know she is surrounded by the laughter and love of those who waited patiently for her arrival, especially Ben. Joyce lived her life with enthusiasm, humor, and a strong sense of adventure into the unknown, embracing those she met with openness and honesty. She leaves with us her beauty and essence to embark on her greatest adventure of all.
