i want to start growing some massive pumpkins.i went to www.pgvg.org and seeds were like 100 dollars or somthing is that normal or what is suggested? this would be my first year i have a seed book and can order atlantic giat pumpkin seeds from it, is that best? i have lots of room to grow pumpkins i just don't know where or how to get started any advice would be helfull

i tried growing melons a few years ago and the vine never got any larger than a pencil and the fruit never got any larger than a small stress ball was that lack of water or the soil could this happen to my pumpkin vines as well? what should i do to prevent this from happening this season?

Hi Joe,If this is your first year with giants I would not purchase seeds, there are enough free ones to get you going and who knows you may get a monster! The PGVG seeds are probably from "Proven" seed lines. Anayway more important than seeds is the condition of your soil regular old dirt wont get you the monster you want. Go to some of the other sites and learn all you can.
