Hello fellow pumpkin growers, for the last few weeks I have been growing a larger species of pumpkin in my dorm. I have sought advice at gardenbuddies.com but thought it might be useful to consult the experts on the matter. In short I intend to grow a pumpkin plant through fruiting using artificial light. 40watt -250watt metal halide - 1000 watt hps. My plan is to take the best looking of the 6 after a month or so and repot into a large tupperware container (I need help with ideal soil for pumpkins ratio wise. When the vine encroaches on the next tupperware bin I will bury the vine causing it to re-root I can then snake tupperware bins all around my room. I know this sounds silly but Im very very serious about all of this. If you wouldnt mind checking out the forum and telling me what you all think I would be absolutely thrilled. I know it will be incredibly hard to accomplish this but I think that with enough brains behind it, it just might work, heres the link if you want to take a look, Ive made sure to document their progress with plenty of photos.
