I have done a little research for the family float trip. I think I have found a way to have a long and a short float, have everyone take off at the same location, and end up at their cars. It will take a little coordination though. Meramec Caverns (1-573-468-6463) offers an 11 mile float that goes from Sappington Bridge back to the Caverns, for $32. (They also offer a 6 mile from the State Park back to the Caverns) Meramec State Park (1-888-MERAMEC) offers a 5 mile float that goes from Sappington Bridge back to the state park, for $35 + $5 for a third person. This is my plan, if we want to do both a long and a short float; we can split up between the two floats and who ever gets to Sappington bridge first will wait for the other group to show up. Then we can float together until we reach our cars. If we only want to do a short float we could all go to the Caverns for the float and save a few bucks. What do you think? Any other ideas?
