It's nice to see Damanhur finally getting some attention, however, their website is NOT hosted by the Vatican. I could see how someone might make that mistake at a glance though.

Also, I asked my friend and the Vatican is in the internet business, providing service for those in "Catholic" countries that can't afford it among other things.

However, the damanhur.org website is NOT hosted by the Vatican. There is a major hub in Vatican city, just like there's one in San Jose for the West Coast of the US, which in some cases, reports a "hop" through Moffett Field and or JPL. This is SOP and does not mean that NASA or the USAF or JPL have anything to do with a page that is hosted on a ISP that sits near the MAE West, or BBN Planet Stanford. Tracing damanhur's web hosting service on RIPE shows it to be a standard, commercial ISP: netname: IPERNET-1 descr: IPERNET by NEWSOFT is a High Quality ISP in Italy descr: NEWSOFT is technologically advanced active society country: IT address: Club Nautilus S.r.l. address: Via Burocchi, 22/A address: I-10098 Rivoli (TO) address: Italy phone: +39 011 9588579 fax-no: +39 011 9588579 e-mail: andrea.martra@clubnautilus.it nic-hdl: AM640-RIPE changed: hostmaster@nic.it 20010419 source: RIPE
