Was this Engineer Battalion at Cam Rahn Bay? I am looking for information on Engineer Battalions that were based at Cam Rahn Bay from around 1966-1969. My father, Thomas Sushinsky, was a Construction Engineer (62E20) that was at Cam Rahn Bay, but I do not know what Battalion or group. I know this is a long shot, but can anyone point me in the right direction for possible Battalions? My father passed away in 1984, and I have many pictures and slides from when he was there, but little information. |

the 20th eng bn and the 84th bn were there |

I was assigned to the 87th Construction Engineer Battalion during 67-68 at Cam Rahn...the 87th was part of 18th Engr Group. |

The 577th EBC arrived at Cam Ranh Bay at the end of July 1966 from from Fort Benning GA. The 577th moved to Tuy Hoa in November 1966 except for C company which immediately went to Long Binh from Cam Ranh Bay. C co 577th later moved to Dong Tam and became B co 69th EBC and eventually evolved into B co 36th EBC at Vinh Long. In 1966 elements of the 45th EBC,65th EBC and 20th EBC were located in the Cam Ranh Bay area also. |

jennifer i was on cam rahn bay from 66to67 an i was with the 864th engineer bn.A-B AN D companys were on cam rahn anC company was up on whiskey mountain in natrang.was your father near the front beach area? |
