I saw an interesting feature in ArcadeOS that would be cool for Emulaxian. That's the ability to drive an LCD or Vacuum Fluorescent display panel for live, per-game instructions. I imagine they must have a database of game instructions, maybe by rom name, and the front end sends that out to the LCD when a game is chosen. I think the devices are serial in nature. at the moment there is as far as i know no database for game instructions ready, but Howard and Sirpoonga have been working on one for some time now. the database will be added to the fe as soon as it is ready. about driving an lcd not anytime soon...as i will not use it..sounds cool but low priority ;-) peter |
