OK this has to do with my Windows 2000 PC. I admit it's pretty slow when it comes to this gorgeous Emulaxian project, but it works well. However, when I loaded up all the models in it's folder (ALL 70+ of them!) and booted it up to start, it would get stuck for a few minutes then close itself up! So I raised my virtual memory to like 384/768 if you catch my drift, and still it did the same thing! I don't know if whether or not I missed something; It only loads one model, MAYBE up to about ten if that, without any intense issues. I'd really like to see all the models appear on my WIN2K if it's possible. Any walkthrough suggestions? Please help anyone who has been through this before. TY! ;-)

By the way, I do have a WinXP PC also, and it works fast and fine there. So what's the difference between the two? TY again!

-As you know win 2k is a real bad choice for the fe...it does not give proper hardware access that the fe needs...but maybe upgrading your directx might help...or you could try the opengl renderer. -i did go for a less save but faster way to load the models at bootup...i do not remember when that was done...i think with 75...that might be it but I dount it...i have not heard off one occurence before yours that the preloading off models failed... peter

That's interesting. I'm on Windows 2000 also and I'm up to 400 cabs in a single arcade, of many different types. I've downloaded and installed all the available models and set my defcab to the mame model. Are the video cards the same between the W2K and XP boxes. Maybe running out of video RAM??
