Nick the web - paige seems to take along time to load, this might be why brad's wife could not log on! timed out |

Hey dude! Web page size shouldn’t be a problem, time outs are caused by a single packet of information (sometimes groups ) not being received by one of the two computers. Even a small page 25k for example will time out after 15 to 30 seconds if none of the packets are received by your computer or the other computer doesn’t receive any of the info sent by your computer. On the other hand a page could have 1 mb of data on it and will load no problem as long as the both computers can send and receive data packets. Our page seems to load fairly quickly even on my 56k. This message forum takes a while but its hosted by some 3rd party not associated with our web space provider. Nick |

I was able to the get the main page to load in about 26 seconds and the photos to load in 34 seconds. Once the main page was in memory it only took 6 seconds to load. Thats not bad for 56k considering the size. How long did it take you? Seems if you have a good dsl connection 6 to 10 seconds should be about it. One of my buddies on icq was able to load the main page in about 2 seconds with DSL thats about what I would expect. Let me know how long is a long time. Thanks Nick |
