I gave our 4 month old papillon a bath last week and ever since his ears have had a really bad odor. Does anyone know what the cause of this might be and/or what I can do to get rid of this smell? |

Hi! Anytime there is a bad odor coming from your dog's ears, you should get them looked at by your vet. It could be a yeast infection, a bacterial infection, impacted cerumen, or even an infected foreign body. http://aledapapillons.com |

Thanks for the suggestions. I did take Duke to the vet and his ears are good but he has a respiratory infection so she's not sure if that's causing the ear odor or its just his smell but he's on antibiotics which I hope will clear everything up. I had the vet clean his ears again just in case I'd missed anything but all was well. Thanks for the information. http://www.simpleeffects.com |
