I have a 6 month old female pap. She has always been on the agressive side when it comes to brushing her teeth. I got tired of it today and forced her on her back after she got very nasty with me. I had to do it 3 times and I know it's just the beginning. I know this can be a very stubborn breed but am I doing the right thing?

Did you try using the type of toothbrush that covers your finger tip. My little guy does better with that, although he still puts up a bit of a fuss.

Yes, that was the type I started with. She was so agressive that I changed to a regular dog toothbrush so that it would be harder for her to bite me but she still finds a way. She goes after my hands automatically. I thought it might have something to do with the breed. My other dogs are poodles and I have never had any problem brushing their teeth. I adore this little puppy and I don't want to do this to her but I don't know what else to do.

I have been trying to brush my papillion's teeth for four years. He becomes a pitbull when I try. Actually I used to have a pit and it was not a problem. I have my dog's teeth cleaned by the vet once a year. The vet said we should clean the pap's teeth, however, he also told us that he can't get his own dog to allow it, so he has to have his dog knocked out every year too.
