I have a female pap 26 months old that in the last two months just seems to go wherever she pleases. Tonight she just urinated on my bed and in the last month she has ruined my Living Room area rug. She and my 18 mo old Pom have an inside place they can go if it is necessary. I do not know what is happening with her.

Hi Judy. The first thing I would do is take a trip to the vet to ensure there isn't a medical reason for it. If there isn't, then I would recommend you go back to the basics of potty training ie: crate, etc. I am no expert but I hope these suggestions offer some help! Potty training has definitely been the biggest challenge we have experienced with our pap.

Hi Julie, I'm a pet sitter and I've found that usually when this happens, it's highly probable that there's a urine track infection going on. I would recommend the trip to the vet first. Try to collect a morning urine sample and keep in the fridge until your vet visit. Try to get it to them as soon as possible. Good Luck!
