Ok 2 questions....my new Pap puppy (first ever!!) is 12 weeks old. When I went to see her she was easily double the size of her 2 other littermates but a gorgeous lemon and white so I chose her over them. I weighed her and she is already 6.5 lbs! Everyone keeps commenting that she is awfully big for a pap puppy. Oh and her ears arent up yet but they dont look phalene either?? I really wanted a tiny toy dog and she looks like shell be quite a bit bigger than i wanted....comments? Of course I wont sell her or anything i love her personality, im just confused by this... |

My papillon is the same. She is purebred but for some reason she is about 12in from floor to shoulder blade, much bigger than normal. I did search up on it and I did find that there will be the occasional "big papillon" since they are known as the toy spaniel and spaniels are on the bigger side. She is just one of those big papillons. |

What's your dog's size, Kelsey? Male and female Papillons can get as big as 8-11 inches. So if it's less than that, your dog is normal. http://www.trainpetdog.com/Papillon/about-papillon.html Papillons |
