A new place where I can share, keep informed and get to know other's better. I'd like to thank Tay Austin for all her efforts to make life a little better for us. As a youngster, I was a very quiet kid, almost withdrawn from the world. As I entered college, I had one particular class where the teacher encouraged us to share who we are and what was important to us. She told us that if you really care...you'll share. I remember on one occasion, someone ask me,"will the real Chip Gerber stand up?" I had already been working on coming out of my shell, but these things and others encouaged me to try a little harder. That other's were not my enemy. That my enemy was fear and could be myself. I then proceeded to take a class on listening...really listening to what another has to say, and at times..what they don't say. Together what I learned has helped me want to share because I do care, and not to be afraid to share or listen...really listen. I hope to do both of these things on this new message board. Hi Mary, So glad you made it to this message board. Thanks. It was nice you posted.Sorry I couldn't explain how to get here. It's on my favorites so I just push a button and there I am.
