Hello all, I know this isn't strictly 'Star Wars related' but, for those of you that haven't heard, it has been revealed that Christopher Lee, who plays the evil wizard Saruman the White in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, has been cut out of the final film. Christopher Lee has said he was mystified to learn that his key scenes have been dropped from the Return of the King. The 81-year-old actor said he had expected to appear in seven minutes' worth of climactic scenes and told ITV1's This Morning on Wednesday "of course I am very shocked, that's all I can say." Christopher Lee fans, such as myself, have now started an online petition to restore the scenes. Mr. Lee added "as far as I'm concerned, I'm only telling you this because it has been revealed on the internet, someone has talked and it certainly wasn't me. If you want to know why you would have to ask the company New Line or director Peter Jackson and his associates because I still don't really know why. I can't say any more because I signed a confidentiality agreement and I honoured my word." When asked if he would attend the première, Mr. Lee replied: "No, what's the point? What's the point of going? None at all." I am absolutely horrified that a great British actor of Christopher Lee's stature could be treated in such a shabby fashion. Also, as a devotee of the novels, I am totally unable to understand why the crucial scenes that resolve Saruman's fate have been cut. I have generally agreed with everything Mr. Jackson has cut out thus far but this is totally unacceptable. I have just read and signed the online petition and I urge you all to do the same: "Put the Saruman scene back into the Return of the King" The petition is hosted on the web by PetitionOnline.com, the free online petition service, at: http://www.PetitionOnline.com/smanrotk/ I agree totally with what this petition says, and I think you might agree, too. If you can spare a moment, please take a look, and consider signing yourself. Best wishes

sounds mysteriously like GMA to me...... Anyway, whoever you are, youre a dork. You honestly have no right to say whether or not Saruman's scenes should be in the movie. If Jackson cut the scenes (which I'm guessing is a bunch of online crap) he did it for a reason. If you want to make the movie, go ahead. Then youll have all the right as to what goes in and what doesnt

Oh shut it. Just because you don't like LOTR doesn't mean that you have to be such a jerk about it.

Christopher Lee is the best actor in the movie! I'm not sure if they actually cut him or not, but I figure either way he'll be in the extended edition. Anyway, I think that he's not GMA, but he's most likely britsih.

Let's save those comments for "What If" History. Unless you don't want to, of course.

I think that deep down, all British people sound the same. Or certain classes of them. For instance, Aims ans Alan both kind of sound the same. As do this CLF (Christopher Lee Fan) and GMA, both very proper, no offence intended.

well i'm pretty sure CLF and GMA are the same person, so you can stop wondering about that, and me and alan sounding the same, well perhaps part of the reason i like him is coz we htink in simlilar ways. I don't think all brisih people sound the same, (maybe acent you could say) but you don't relly have a big enough group to study to decide that... i'd never reaslly thought about it, but maby in a very general way... search me, more research needed tho, i think your theory is very assumption full!!

Heya. I have no idea who this CLF is. Sounds like you might be though... If he is GMA then what ever. He can have multiple idents. I do. I liked Saruman. But if he is not deemed to be needed in the final episode by Mister Director then what can we do? He already changed the order of the events in bits of the film. It's all about artistic liscence and changing it for screen and his ideas. Aims and i do have a lot in common. The way she thinks and acts is some of what I see in her being such a wonderful person. I'm hooked. Na I don't think all Brits sound the same. there are so many of us. Neway. How are you all?

Well you all sound the same to me. Theres two groups in British language. The proper group (GMA CLF) and the not so proper, doesn't care if they use good grammer, can't spell group. (Aims, Alan). Not that you guys couldn't use good English if you tried, you just don't care so much if you do. Then again, my English ain't that great neither.

Then you have us Chicagoans who make up our own dialect and then call it 'proper'

Obviously you were mistaken. Hey, where did the British people go? I thought Aims was coming back more often. It's not like they could possibly have anyhting better to do.

Aims is back. did you see her new topic "50 Words" or whatever? There is no way you can make a ledgeable story in 50 words. I tried and got to 172 words before I stopped. I think she needs to up the wordage.
