My husband is Ronnie David Boal from Newtownards Co Down. His grandfather James also came from this area. It has been recorded that in 1798 Willie Boal, from the Cottown/6 Road Ends which is just outside Newtownards was involved, as the lover of Betsy Gray, in this famous Irish Rebellion. I have often wondered if my husband is in any way connected to Willie Boal. Anyway a new famous Boal to add to the collection |
