Hi! this is a great site!
I am a huge King fan, but the majority of the films are dissapointing as
they simply dont do the books justice. Shawshank Redemption and The
Green Mile are the best by far, with most of the others being average at
best. Thinner was ok, but lacked the tension of the book, The Langoliers
was spoiled by the ott performance of the actor playing Craig Toomey,
and in Needful Things, Leland Gaunt simply wasnt sinister enough,
although Amanda Plummer was good as nettie. But the biggest disaster had
to be Hearts in Atlantis, what the hell went wrong!! My personal
favourite books have to be The Dark Tower series, and the Talisman/Black
House books, they are amazing and cpompletely take you away, I cant wait
for v , vi and vii! That is why i am hoping and praying to god that they
dont atempt to try and film these books, there is no way they could ever
do them justice(unless as an epic mini-series with a limitless
budget!!!) However i do visualize certain actors in the parts when
reading and wondered if anyone else has ever wondered who would look
right in the roles. Here is a small selection of my ideas - Roland - I
cant think of any actor that has the right look!, Eddie - Tim Roth,
Sussanah - Janet Jackson, Walter - James Coburn, Ticktock man - Gene
Hackman, Randall Flagg - Jim Carrey, Voice of Blaine - Robin Williams,
Jonas - Donald Sutherland, Rhea of the Coos - Roseanne, Susan Delgado -
Canadian actress Megan Follows, Speedy Parker/Parkus - Morgan Freeman,
Jack sawyer(older) - Robert Redford. Well, what do you think?

Yeah, I agree, Morgan Freeman as Speedy Parker/Parkus would be great. I've seen Morgan Freeman in a few Stephen King movies now and I think that he can take on the role of Stephen King characters amazingly. Plus, he's an amazing actor. Role on Black House the movie!!

I agree about "IT", it could have been better but hard to do with so little time. The Shawshank Redemption and Stand By Me are two of my favorites except I'll always love the Standit was the first one I read. Love your site!
