The TLA for the 34th Snowstorm Special has been submitted to the USCF and should be in your Dec. and Jan. issues of Chess Life. The event is planned for the weekend of Feb. 8-10, 2008, at the Best Western Charleston - Downtown which is the same hotel as last year just new name. The announcement will be posted to our website right after the S.C. Championships are completed. Mark your calender and come out to the meetings to tune up your game. This is our only weekend tournament in Charleston and local support is critical to its success. The annual PHM Scholastic tournament will be held in conjunction with this event as a separate section. Announcements for that event will be coming soon. |

Tonight's meeting is th last chance to pre-register for the 34th Snowstorm Special this weekend;otherwise, the entry fee will be $70 at registration. If you plan to pre-register tonight, please be there at 7pm so that I can sign you up before playing my rated match game. |
