Several weeks ago I missed a CCC meeting because I was invited to attend a meeting of spiritually minded people. The group focus is on spiritual growth through the knowledge and practice of various techniques for increased awareness. Since I attended that meeting I have been deluged with E-mails by all the members requesting I join their group, which unfortunately meets on Wednesday evenings. After much deliberation I have decided to join them as I feel I am needed more there and can be more helpful to them than to you. I want to thank all the members of the CCC for their treatment of me these past 4 months. I now know where I can be of the best use to the most people. Thank you and goodbye for now... |

Russ, after reading your post, I was, at first, stunned by your sudden withdrawal from our club meetings. But, after pondering your explanation, it makes sense that someone like yourself, who has so much spirit and generousity, would be the object of a higher calling to help others. Their gain is, of course, our loss, but the comradery and friendship that you brought to our club will never be forgotten. I only have one request... don't stop playing chess because you have a natural apptitude for it and it fits your structured and logical mind. Go forth to enhance others, but do try to stop in to see us if your schedule permits. Your time with us has been a true pleasure. |

I'm afraid you have been deceived. If it is spiritual growth you seek, look no further than The Spirit. If it is awareness you seek, look no further than His Word. Anything beyond this is a chasing of the wind, a fruitless pursuit. |
