As suggestion for weekly events we could continue the G20 tournaments but occasionally have one an opening theme tournament. All players could submit a tabiya from an opening and we could play the game 20 tournament starting from this position. Another alternative is to practice endgames. We could have for instance a basic Rook and pawn endgame and give each player say one minute to win.

Well, I'm always up for rated quick chess games. But, just in case nobody responds... i'll gladly play you in your choice of opening variants. I'm currently playing lot's of correspondence as a way to study my openings deeper. I'd love a thematic 2 player match just between us if nobody else is interesteed. What positions are you curiously interested in exploring? I could do some 'preparation' before next wed on any lines from the black side of the slav, caro-kann, chigorin, or nimzowitsch defenses or from the white side the queen's gambit, indian defenses, vienna gambit, van-geet or grand prix attack.
