A lot of very hard work was put into producing awards night again this year, but it's all made worthwhile when you read positive comments like Pat's above. Glad you enjoyed it! PS While I'm here I'd just like to thank the club for giving me the accolade of Clubman of the Year.

Thanks to everyone that helped set up the evening which believe it or not took over 60 hours of preparation. However, it was so good, it was worth it, and thanks to everyone that attended from players, to supporters. But only God knows how we will better it next year !!

I know I am not going to be popular with a certain person but although Simon deserves Clubman of the Year. How about Jeff, the amount of time and effort he puts in each week is fantastic. He and Rewind deserve a Golden Rose Award for all their efforts in making Saturday a night to remember. Congratulations to Darren, Camerson, Sean and James but also well done to the other players. Paul for all the effort he puts into all the games. Ian Williams for turning out each and every game and being an inspirational Captain. (Please do not retire) Ian Brown for his want of improving each and every player. Danny Cattermole for his commitment to the game Every Reserve Player who stepped up into the First Team, none were a disappointment Apologies to all those I have missed out but I could go on for ever. It has been a pleasure to work with Richie, Alan, Pat, Catchie and Scot and I look forward to next Season. Ina and Steve have been fantastic with the Reserves (probably the hardest position in the Club). Alan Brown has had another successful seaon and his enthusiam and commitment are an example to us all. Thank you, and I love you all. (Hope you are not all too young to remember that catchphrase!). COME ON YOU SEASIDERS.

Thank you for your kind words Linda, but the Choice for Clubman was the right one as Simon has done so much for the Club (and people) that would probably have gone un-noticed by a majority of people. I won't list the things that he has done, because it will probably fill this forum, but aside from all this, he took an awful lot of workload off me and others. Plus he is an easy touch at Golf !!!
